Buick — GM's luxury-performance sleeper.
Buick has always sat between Chevrolet and Cadillac in GM's brand hierarchy. Its collector market is defined by two eras: the nailhead-and-Riviera years of the 1960s, and the Grand National / GNX turbo cars of the 1980s.
Buick history
Founded by David Dunbar Buick in 1899 and one of the founding brands of GM. The 1963 Riviera, Bill Mitchell's masterpiece, established Buick as a design leader; the 1987 Grand National and GNX turned Buick into a giant killer.
