GM Vault respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects members to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
Reporting copyright infringement
If you believe content on GM Vault — including listing photos, descriptions, video, or other materials — infringes a copyright you own or control, please send a written notice to our Designated Agent containing all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the owner or person authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- The URL or specific location on gmvault.com of the allegedly infringing material.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Counter-notice
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notice to the address above containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the judicial district in which you reside (or, if outside the U.S., any judicial district where GM Vault may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice.
Repeat infringers
GM Vault terminates, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of members who are determined to be repeat infringers.
Misrepresentations
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that content is infringing — or was removed by mistake — may be liable for damages.
