Holden — GM's Australian performance division.
Holden was GM's Australian brand from 1931 to 2020. Its V8 Commodore and HSV-tuned Monaro / GTS cars became the source of the U.S. Pontiac GTO (2004–2006), Pontiac G8, Chevrolet SS, and Chevrolet Caprice PPV.
Holden history
Holden's Commodore sedan and Monaro coupe formed the basis for a generation of rear-drive V8 GM cars sold globally. Discontinued in 2020.
