Cadillac — GM's luxury flagship.
Cadillac has been GM's luxury division since 1909 and produced some of the most collectible American cars of the 20th century. Deep V-16 pre-war cars, tail-finned '59 Eldorados, downsized '76 Eldorado convertibles, and modern CTS-V and Blackwing performance sedans all live in the Cadillac collector market.
Cadillac history
Founded 1902 by Henry Leland. Cadillac introduced the electric self-starter in 1912, the V-16 in 1930, tailfins in 1948, and its first supercharged V-series in 2004.

Cadillac buying guide
- Pre-war V-12 and V-16 cars require expert authentication.
- 1959–1960 Eldorado Biarritz convertibles are the top of the tail-fin market — verify VIN and body-tag data.
- CTS-V and Blackwing cars should have full service records and no track-day damage.
Selling a Cadillac on GM Vault
- Include full documentation and window sticker where possible; luxury buyers care about provenance.
